Ardnamurchan AD/Cask Strength 2024 (58.3%)

Another full strength, undiluted and seriously delicious release from Ardnamurchan distillery! The 2024 Cask Strength is still gently peated, bright and spicy like their core release, but here released at unique cask strength!
This Cask Strength variant of Ardnamurchan was originally intended for America. However, for some unknown reason, a portion remained behind in Scotland. In the nose, we first detect peat smoke from the Scottish West Coast. So also something of sea salt and moss. But the fresher scents of vanilla and fresh-squeezed citrus fruit balance things out. On the tongue, too, the maritime peat leads the way with then ripe apple and pear with warm oak and black pepper. The finish features salty influences of seaweed and is edged by peat smoke.
