Benriach

Matured in the traditional style in American bourbon barrels, this whisky is then ‘finished’ in Tawny Port hogsheads, sourced from the Douro region in the north of Portugal.

To make Benriach Twelve, Benriach spirit is three cask matured for at least twelve years in sherry casks, bourbon barrels and port casks. The whisky from each cask is then expertly married together to create a smooth, sherry-rich single malt.

The first edition of the small batch release is comprised of 23 barrels, all distilled on 2nd November 2012, yielding 6672 bottles in total.
