To bring out the beloved characteristics of coastal malts, the Master Blender at Mossburn has chosen to use first fill ex-bourbon cask staves and heavily toasted European oak cask heads, to enhance the whisky with an additional smoky spice.

The spirit started life as a classic expression of Speyside Malt Whisky, first aged for more than 12 years in ex-bourbon casks before re-aging in American oak casks that previously contained mature Foursquare rums.
