Cadenhead's Knockdhu 11 YO - 2011 (46%)

A fascinating Speyside whisky from Knock, Banffshire. A spicy and nutty nose, which softens as the dram progresses. Sweet, fruity notes are very apparent as soon as you taste it and this leads to a dry finish with tomato notes. Look out for meaty hints too. A perfect way to round out this Tasting Panel session of Original Collection bottlings.

Tasting Notes:
Nose: Very wintery, spiciness, nutmeg, all spice, coconut, star anise.
Flavour: Italian sausage, dry figs, Battenberg cake.
Finish: Dry finish, sun-dried tomatoes, green house vine tomatoes, winey.
Cask Type: 30% Bourbon, 70% Madeira
