This unusually old Guyana rum comes from the now defunct Enmore distillery known for the still, a unique wooden structure built in Greenhart in the 1880s to distill rum for the British Navy. The distillation boiler is not only the oldest wooden column boiler in the world, but also probably the oldest working column boiler. After the distillery closed in 1993, it was moved to its current location, the Diamond Distillery in Georgetown.

Enmore 1988 is aged for a total of 34 years in old bourbon barrels! This gives a very complex and full-bodied character that can be naturally traced back to 55% alcohol. A piece of Roman history with an unusually high age.
