'Chateau Montifaud Michel Vallet Réserve Speciale' was created especially for the year 2000 by Michel Vallet, the father of current owner Laurent Vallet. This cognac will surprise you with its richness, maturity and character, a perfect reflection of its maker. Chateau Montifaud itself speaks of 'a blend of a gentleman'. The cognac has first aged for a year in new barrels and then considerably more than six years in older barrels. The beautiful light amber colour comes from maturing in these barrels and working with 'faibles'. This powerful, yet soft cognac offers lime flowers, dried flowers and vanilla in the nose. On the palate, you will discover apricots and plums. The wood tones are more present than in the VSOP.
