Cihuatán - Xaman XO (40%)

Cihuatán Xaman XO is a distinctive release from Ron Cihuatán in El Salvador, combining traditional ageing with an unusual cask finish. After maturation in oak barrels, the rum receives an additional finish in casks made from Ceiba wood, a tree closely associated with Central American heritage.

This unique finish gives the rum a distinctive aromatic profile. The nose shows warm notes of caramel, honey and vanilla, supported by hints of cocoa and lightly toasted spice.

On the palate the rum is full and rounded, revealing flavours of toffee, dark sugar and gentle spice. Touches of chocolate and soft wood add further depth.

The finish is long and smooth, with lingering caramel sweetness and warm spice.
