Dutch Head Rum The Bastard Edition 8 Years Old is created from a blend of five different rums, with the oldest component aged for up to eight years in American oak casks. The blend is designed to bring together maturity, sweetness and gentle spice in a balanced style.

After blending, the rum is refined with pure Dutch water and a very small amount of sugar. For this step, Dutch Head Rum collaborated with Royal Cosun, a Dutch sugar specialist with more than a century of experience in the sugar industry.

On the nose the rum shows warm notes of vanilla, caramel and light spice alongside hints of toasted oak. The palate is smooth and rounded with flavours of toffee, dark sugar and gentle oak.

The finish is soft and balanced with lingering caramel sweetness and mild spice.
