In keeping with previous releases, the team at Fib Whisky has held back a portion of the initial casks for further maturation—this time for over seven months. The same liquid, yet an entirely new experience.
Volume 2 Breakdown:
- 50% Deanston 10-Year-Old – Aged 9 years in a Wild Turkey 2nd Fill Bourbon cask, followed by 1 full year in a 1st Fill PX Sherry cask.
- 50% Cameronbridge 12-Year-Old – Spent over 11 years in a Refill Hogshead before finishing for 7 months in an ex-Glenallachie Sherry Butt.
The result? A beautifully balanced, easy-drinking whisky with an invitingly sweet nose and extra layers of depth, thanks to the extended sherry cask maturation, the higher single malt ratio, and a slight bump in ABV.
As always, this limited-edition release is bottled at natural colour, with no chill filtration. A stunning cask-strength blend—only 240 bottles available, so act fast!
Tasting Notes:
Nose: Fresh baked cheesecake topped with Almonds, hints of rich coffee beans.
Taste: Sweet, sticky toffee pudding with zesty lemon meringue pie. Classic dessert in the mouth followed with gooey marshmallows, roasted pecans.
Finish: Long and satisfying, singed orange peel and dark bittersweet chocolate.
