Glenallachie 10 years old Cask Strength (56,8%) Batch 7

GlenAllachie 10 years Cask Strength Batch 7 symbolises all the goodness of GlenAllachie whisky in one expression, but also bottled at cask strength. This allows you to explore this whisky at full strength and you can add some water yourself to make the whisky more accessible if desired. Batch 7 of GlenAllachie's Cask Strength series contains 56.9% alcohol and is matured in largely a mix of ex-Pedro Ximénez and ex- Oloroso puncheons, which is supplemented by a small proportion of virgin oak casks and ex-Rioja wine casks.
The result is an exquisite single malt whisky with a scent reminiscent of heather honey, dried fruits, cinnamon and nutmeg, with notes of orange zest, mocha and treacle in the background. Layers of dark chocolate develop on the palate and progress to figs, heather honey, sultanas, cinnamon, prunes and orange zest.
