Glengoyne The Legacy Series Chapter Three (48%)

The Glengoyne Legacy Chapter Three is dedicated to Sir Arthur John Tedder. He was the Glengoyne "excise man" and began working at the distillery in 1899. During his career, Tedder helped define the rules for Scotch whisky, using Glengoyne as a great inspiration. This whisky is made with the high quality Tedder would appreciate. The whisky is aged in American oak sherry barrels.
The Legacy Series is the only limited edition of Glengoyne sold worldwide. The Legacy Series tells the fascinating stories of the rich history surrounding the Glengoyne Distillery. Each annual release will have a distinct link between the story, recipe and tasting notes.

Tasting Notes:
Nose: On the nose, signature Glengoyne deep sherry notes which accompany distinctive cinnamon sticks and vanilla aromas. A very pleasing combination of mixed berry jam and apple strudel intertwine revealing some pear.
Palate: On the palate, a rich luxurious body that’s satisfyingly chewy with warm boozy raisins combining with spiced buns slowly giving way to tarte tatin and smooth cream sherry.
Finish: The finish is light and fruity, which deepens with hints of pineapple, dried fruits, dark chocolate and lingering spice finish are the aromatic ‘legacy’ of this wonderful dram before you reach for the bottle and go back for more.
