What immediately stands out about Hendrick's, is the fact that the gin is bottled in bottles with an old, pharmacy-like appearance. Hendrick's Gin is bottled with 11 classic ingredients. The flavour of this gin is enhanced by adding the Bulgarian rose or a piece of cucumber. The 11 classic ingredients include: juniper berries, angelica root, coriander, orange peel.

Hendrick's is a super premium gin with a special twist. Hendrick's is distilled in the un-Germanic land of Scotland, with its centuries of distilling expertise and the presence of soft Scottish water, in this case from the local Penwhapple spring. Then there are the outrageously high quality ingredients used in the making of Hendrick's. The best flavours of a very strange and extensive botanical bouquet come from all corners of the world.

The preparation takes place separately in a Carter Head still and a Bennet still. While the Bennet Still boils the ingredients, they are steamed in the rare Carter Head Still. The blending of the two spirits creates a smooth gin with both a robust character and a balance of subtle flavours. Normally a small batch is described as 1,000 litres. In comparison, Hendrick's is distilled in miniscule batches of 450 litres. This gives the Master Distillers a high degree of control to monitor the entire distilling process in detail and thus produce a high quality Gin, worthy of the name Hendrick's. Finally, Hendrick's is rounded off with an infusion of the essences of Dutch cucumber and the oils of Bulgarian Red rose petals. All this makes Hendrick's a wonderfully refreshing gin with a bright aroma.

Hendrick's is the only gin made by combining a Carter-Head and a Bennet Still. Despite using the same botanical bouquet, the two stills prepare completely different drinks.
