Scotland's cool maritime climate causes this rum to mature very differently than those from the tropics. Carefully aged in oak barrels previously used for maturing the peaty Islay, creating a wonderful smoky flavor combined with vanilla and a coastal saltiness.

The Islay Rum is the first and only rum distillery to date on the island of Islay, located between Kilnaughton Bay in Port Ellen and the Borraichill. This magnificent art deco style building is steeped in Islay history and has been lovingly restored after years of neglect to become home to Islay's first and truly unique rum.
