Malecon Rare Proof 13 Years Old (50.5%)

Malecon Rare Proof 13 Year Old is a molasses rum from Panama, distilled in 2006 in a continuous column. The brand's creator, Marco Savio, enlisted the services of Cuban maestro ronero Francisco Fernandez to assemble a small series of casks. These had the particularity of containing particularly concentrated rums, produced by a slower distillation than usual.
The term Rare Proof is also important for this vintage. It is rare to find traditional Latin rums with such a high bottling degree.
