Planteray Mauritius 2013 - 11YO (46,5%)

This exquisite rum originates from a molasses column still distillation, preceded by a meticulous 48-hour fermentation process. Its journey is further elevated by the signature double aging technique synonymous with Planteray (or Plantation) rums.
Initially, the rum was aged for nine years in Mauritius within bourbon barrels, soaking up the tropical climate's influence. It was then transported to the Southwest of France, where it matured for an additional two years in Ferrand cognac barrels, adding layers of depth and complexity to its profile.
A total of 19 barrels were carefully selected and blended, culminating in this extraordinary bottling scheduled for release in 2024.
