Ron Abuleo XII Años - Two Oaks (40%)

A rich, smoky version of the well-known Abuelo rum. This rum is composed of single estate reserves ranging in age from 8 to up to 40 years old, aged in American whiskey (ex-bourbon) casks. This gives this expression incomparable layering and flavour complexity. The second cask, heavily toasted virgin American oak, makes the rum very smooth, giving it a smokiness and finesse

Cask maturation: Reserves from 8 to 40 years old (ex-bourbon), together 11 years and 3 months. Then 9 months on heavily toasted virgin American oak.
Aroma: Light smoke, intense oak, vanilla, coffee, toasted almonds.
Flavour: Smooth rich complexity, intense oak, spice, caramel, coffee and a smokiness in a long pleasant finish.
