On Sunday 6 July, the 2nd edition of the 'RUM & COCKTAILS SUMMER FEST' will take place at the Chateau Marquette Estate in Heemskerk.
Rick Lauffer - 'SJEFF.', Richard Blesgraaf - 'Slijterij & Wijnhuis Zeewijck ' and Eric Hoonhout - 'Vinatic Slijterij' have once again joined forces to organise another fantastic summer festival. The festival is all about tasting many types of Caribbean rums, liqueurs, Tequila, Gin & Tonics, and Cocktails.
Rum and Cocktails are booming so we have made sure you can enjoy a wide range of many, many different Caribbean rums. Caribbean rums are known for their unique and complex flavours, perfectly suited to the summer atmosphere of the festival.
You can also get acquainted with cocktails, ranging from classics such as the Mojito, Mai Tai, Pornstar Martini and the Daiquiri to more creative and exotic combinations. Gin & Tonic lovers can choose from different types of Gin & Tonic. For tequila lovers, several tequila cocktails are also available, perfectly combining tequila's rich flavours and aromas with other ingredients. Liqueurs are covered extensively. The exhibitors are eager to introduce you to them.
For those who do not drink alcohol or want an alcohol-free alternative, mocktails are also available. These refreshing and flavourful drinks contain no alcohol but offer a great experience.
What else can you expect? Well, 'fingerlicking good finger food' from various food trucks from SJEFF., Masterclasses, Workshops and live music! In short, the summer festival at Marquette Estate promises to be a great experience for lovers of rum, gin, liqueurs and other tasty drinks. It won't be down to the location! Admission is €35.00 and that includes a tasting glass, catalogue, a foodtruck voucher worth €5.00 and a bottle of water. Also, most drinks are free to taste. Tokens will be charged for valuable and aged rums, whiskies or whole cocktails.
