SAKURAO JAPANSE WHISKY Masterclass

Sakurao Distillery, established in 2018, is located in Hatsukaichi, Japan. This modern distillery is an extension of the Sakurao Brewery and Distillery, formerly Chugoku Jozo, which has produced sake and shochu since 1918.
The single malt whiskies are distilled in an Arnold Holstein Hybrid Still. This still is designed to make a fruity and elegant whisky. The alcohol percentages of the single malts are reduced to a minimum of 43% alcohol with local water from the River Oze. This advanced hybrid still enables Sakurao to produce high-quality single malt whiskies. A virtually unknown Japanese distillery that deserves to be discovered!
