Mauritius..the small island to the east of the African Island of Madagascar. Home to the Labourdonnais Distillery managed by Mickael Derunes.
100% Cane Juice Rum, that was column-distilled in december 2010. The Rum was stored in Stainless steel tanks on Mauritius for 7 years. Only in 2018 the liquid found its way to some nice bourbon casks.
A clean and crisp distillate that reminds us of fresh green fruits, light tobacco and some gentle wood influence.
No age statement for this one because of its extraordinary journey!
