The Starward Single Barrel 7598 is an Australian single malt from the New World Whisky distillery in Melbourne, especially for the Netherlands. Distilled in August 2017 and matured initially in red wine casks. Finished in AP Johns American oak hogshead.

Hints of leather, polished furniture and the crackling dustiness of decades-old pages on the nose. The palate is stacked with sumptuous malty notes, tropical fruit and Sherry character, with a delicate but persistent peatiness.

This rum is a blend of both Pot Still and Column still. It has a lot of character retrieved from 20 years of aging in Panama. After the long aging it was sent to Denmark where we have given it a finish in a used Islay whisky cask for 2½ year.
