The Yamazaki Distiller's Reserve is the young talent of Yamazaki. A sweet and easy-to-drink whiskey, less than 10 years old, whose maturation in French oak (Bordeaux) and sherry casks adds complexity. Harmonisation of the whole set comes from the mizunara wood, which gives it its typical Japanese character of spice.
